ESL Teacher

We are looking for a teacher in an established Training School in the Xihu district of Hangzhou. Focused mostly on oral english skills, Sunshine Elite Ivy English has been operating for over a decade and is a very friendly and inviting place to work.

Classes are between 90 minutes and two hours, undertaken without an assistant inside the classroom. We aim to have very active and engaging classes but beyond this requirement we look for teachers to be able to express their own style in the classroom and provde the freedom for this to develop.

Full details for the job are below:

Working Schedule: 20 class hours a week max, 4 hours in-office Wednesday afternoons for meeting & lesson planning

Student age: 4-18

Salary: 7,500-8,500RMB depending on experience (9,000-10,000RMB including housing stipend)

Housing: Monthly stipend of 1,500RMB

Flight: allowance of 5,000 RMB after completion of one-year contract

Visa: Z visa / Foreign Expert Certificate provided before arrival

Other Bonuses: 5 days of paid holiday per year (on top of national holidays)

Qualification and Requirements:

Bachelor’sDegree

≤ 40 years old

Native English speaker only – American, British, Irish, Canadian, Australian or New Zealander preferred

120 Hour TEFL/TESOL Certification

Two or more years relevant experience
