Introduction

Bellamy English is a British family run English language training school based in Jinan, China, a beautiful city located in the eastern part of the country.

The school was set up in 2014 to provide outstanding English language training to the people of Jinan. The school currently trains over 400 students weekly aged between 3 and 15. They are taught by the schools 6 foreign teachers who are from the UK, Canada and New Zealand.

You will be welcomed into a warm working environment where we will take care of your needs and requirements from the day you arrive in China.

The school provides their teachers with the tools and opportunities to grow as a teacher. The school offers a comprehensive training program to teachers that focuses on curriculum, teaching skills and classroom management.

You’ll be working five days per week – this could include weekends, but you will have two days off every week. Weekdays will consist of afternoon and evening hours, whereas weekends will focus on morning and afternoon hours.

You’ll teach for up to 25 hours per week in a standard 40 hour working week.

You can also expect excellent classroom resources. Each teacher will be given specially-designed teacher’s books and manuals, CDs, supplies and props for games. Multimedia classrooms are equipped with interactive white boards and a host of online resources.

About the city of Jinan. Jinan is a beautiful city located in the east of the country. It still maintains a strong traditional Chinese culture that must be experienced. Living costs are low, yet living conditions are high. Jinan is also one of the safest cities to live in the world with crime levels at a level of almost zero.

Job duties
Teach weekly English classes to students aged between 3 and 15 years of age. Student English language abilities range from beginner to intermediate.
Make good use of extensive course materials and technology in the classroom and ensure students learn in an engaging manner.
Class plans and materials have already been created, therefore limited class planning is required from the teacher.
Carry out teaching related responsibilities including demo classes, special student events, conversation clubs, tutorials.

Salary and benefits
10,500 – 15,000 RMB (1,200 – 1,700 GBP) per month.
1st Year contract completion bonus: 8,000 RMB (900 GBP)
2nd Year contract completion bonus: 1,200 RMB (1,400 GBP)
3rd Year contract completion bonus: 1,500 RMB (1,700 GBP)
Yearly salary increase based on performance review.
Quarterly bonus.
8,000 RMB (900 GBP) flight allowance per each full contract.
5,000 RMB (570 GBP) to cover your initial flight.
Health insurance.
12 days of paid annual leave.
12 days of paid public holidays.
Free Chinese language classes
Visa provided and paid for.
120 hour TEFL course provided.
Accommodation in a well looked after apartment within close proximity to the school.
Full on-boarding and relocation assistance. As soon as you arrive you will be given accommodation and you will be assigned a welfare officer who will help you open local bank accounts and help you acclimatise to your new life in Jinan.

Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher
+2 years of teaching experience or 120 hour TEFL certificate. If you do not have a TEFL certificate we can provide the training necessary to get one.
International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC)
