Rockies English School in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang, China require a ESL teacher for the

March 2017 term.

Rockies English Mudanjiang, is a well established English training center with a focus on teaching English to students between the ages of 3-16. The school was originally started by two Canadians and has been in operation for more than 15 years.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Monthly salary: 7500-8500 RMB depending on experience
• 26 teaching hours a week
• 100 RMB per hour for over-time
• 2 weeks paid holidays per year
• Free Mandarin Lessons
• Free individual housing and free lunches during work hours (Teachers wishing to find their own accommodation will receive a stipend of 1000 RMB to help off set costs)
• Working Visa and Foreign Residence Permit
• Accidental Medical Coverage
• Year end bonus of 7000 RMB upon completion of contract

Job Qualifications

• Native speakers from Canada, the US, the UK, Australia and New Zealand preferred (May be difficult to obtain a visa for teachers of non-native English speaking countries)
• University Degree
• TEFL/TESOL certification
• Criminal Record Check
• Must be responsible, patient and adaptable
• Should enjoy working with young children
• Teachers are required to attend weekly planning and/or training sessions

About Mudanjiang

Mudanjiang is a relatively small Chinese city located in Northern Heilongjiang Province with a population of around one million residents. It is one of the cleanest cities in China (Rated 20th out of approximately 170 cities based on iPhone App) Although, Mudanjiang is a small city, it is easy to find western restaurants and coffee shops like Pizza Hut and KFC.

In addition, there are many interesting sites to explore within a few hours drive like Jing Po Lake and the Underground Forest. Also, during the winter, one can head 4 hours west by train to see the world famous Harbin Ice Festival.
