ESL Teachers Wanted for Tropical Island

Hainan YuDa Foreign Language Academy is one of Hainan Island's oldest and most established schools, as well as being the largest private foreign language school on the island.

We teach Chinese children from primary and secondary schools, offer English language trips to summer camps in the UK and USA and offer tailor-made courses teaching Chinese Mandarin classes to visiting western groups.

We are currently recruiting EFL teachers interested in living and working in China's number one tourist destination.

Hainan Island, also known as the ‘Hawaii of Asia’ is the southernmost province of China located in the South China Sea, east of Vietnam and the Bay of Tonkin. It is one of the most beautiful and least polluted Chinese provinces where there is little industry and flourishing agriculture in the tropical climate.

Hainan YuDa Foreign Language Academy is located in the capital city of Haikou on the north coast of the island and is a one hour flight from Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou.

Foreign teachers at our school enjoy a weekly workload of 16 teaching hours and have three consecutive days off.

Ten weeks of paid vacation per year and six-monthly performance bonuses provide fantastic opportunities to travel.

Superior, furnished, two-bedroom accommodation is provided within one block of our main Guomao campus, which is located ten minutes from Haikou's main public beach.

Foreign teachers can expect competitive salaries, some of the highest on the island and a very comfortable, high quality of life with low living costs.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree, an EFL teaching qualification and previous experience working in Asia.

More mature teachers aged 30+ are encouraged, couples are also welcome.
