Introduction of Huamei International School

Guangzhou Huamei International School, founded in 1993 by a group of returned overseas Chinese scholars from Canada, Accredited by the Chinese governmental education departments, our school now ranks one of the best private boarding schools in Guangdong Province.

We provide professional education programs ranging from kindergarten to Grade12 (K-12): Kindergarten, Elementary School (Grade 1 through 6), and the Middle School (Grade 7 through 12).

Currently, we have about 300 professional teachers work at Huammei, including 40 foreign teachers from America, Canada, Australia and Britain

Foreign Teacher Employment Information

1. Qualifications

l Native English speaker from Canada, USA, UK and Australia

l Bachelor degree or above, TESOL and equivalent certificates are preferable, Good command of communication skill

l Passion for teaching and experiencing different cultures

l Good health and friendly personality

2. Salary: There is a salary scale for ESL teachers based on teachers’ educational background and work experience.

Salary would be minimum RMB 11000 per month depending on ability and experience for bachelor Degree holder and RMB 12000 per month for master Degree holder. 10 months of teaching while over 2 months of summer and winter holidays, 12 months salary in total.

3. Benefits

l Contract Renew Allowance: RMB 500 per month per year except the summer and winter holidays

l Professional Education Certificate Allowance: RMB1000 per month per year except the summer and winter holidays

l Work Visa and Residence Permit: The school will arrange work visa and residence permit for the teacher.

l Medical Insurance: The school offers inpatient hospitalization insurance and accidental insurance.

l Airfare: To reimburse 1,000 United States dollars for the teacher’s economy class round trip airplane ticket upon completion of the contract.

l Housing Accommodation: The School will provide a furnished apartment with furniture and appliances.

l Life allowance (water, electricity, gas): RMB350 for every month.

l Teaching Bonus: Range from RMB 2000-5000 based on teaching evaluation results each term

4. Teacher’s Workload

Workload is 20 teaching periods (40 minutes per period).
