The Job
Our Shanghai based kindergarten is now interviewing professional, energetic and creative English teachers. We are looking for teachers who are comfortable in working with a team and enjoy working with young learners between 2 to 6 years old. Our mother school has more than 80 years of providing quality international education. We have over 20 branches located in 6 different cities in China. Our strong commitment to fostering young learners’ academic, physical, social and emotional development is our driving force to achieve continuous excellence in the academic field.

We develop our own course materials and curriculum and combine together the best elements of Eastern and Western education with the help of our very own research and development team. We do not only focus on English teaching, we also put strong emphasis on character formation and holistic development in an international, multicultural environment. Our child-centered teaching philosophy provides a natural learning setting for young learners to develop their own potential at its peak, accept their unique individual personality and establish harmonious relationship both locally and internationally.

In adherence to our commitment to excellence, we provide professional training programs to our teachers which are adapted from well-established methodologies and teaching systems to further enhance their effectiveness. Teachers have the freedom to develop their own teaching strategies and methods through dance, songs, art, games and activities. Each classroom has two local teachers working with the foreign teachers and together you can plan lessons and activities that are appropriate for the class. We have an abundance of available teaching resources including multimedia, interactive whiteboards, flashcards and textbooks.

Shanghai – The City
Known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’, Shanghai is truly an international metropolis in every sense of the word. The most vibrant and progressive city in China, Shanghai is the economic and cultural center, blending an incredible mix of Eastern and Western culture. On one side of the mighty Yangtze River flowing through Shanghai is the Pu Dong district, rural farm land just 20 years ago, it is now the financial and commercial hub with skyscrapers stretching ever higher. Along the western bank of the river, the iconic Bund is a reminder of Shanghai’s colonial past featuring grand European architecture.

For those who like to shop, party and eat, Shanghai has all you could possibly want and more. But despite its cosmopolitan reputation, pockets of quaint tradition remain alive and well, dotted throughout the city. Explore countless old markets, back streets crammed with local eateries and discover incense filled temples still central to the locals’ daily life.

Main Responsibilities
-40-hour work week
-Carry out the professional duties of a classroom teacher
-Plan and implement the English Program which includes weekly plans, progress reports and monthly reviews
-Monitor, observe and document young learners’ English learning progress and development
-Cooperate with local teachers and teaching assistants in planning lessons and evaluating young learners
-Participate in school’s special events, functions, marketing and multi-cultural activities
-Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings
-Establish harmonious relationship with all the school staff
-Communicate with the students’ parents openly and willingly
Compensation
-Excellent salary: 13,000 – 18,000 RMB per month
-Housing allowance provided: 2,000 RMB per month
-Assistance in finding accommodation
-Round-trip flight reimbursement provided after completion of contract
-11 days national holidays plus 18 days paid holidays every year
-Free lunch provided during working schedule
-Legal ‘Z’ work visa

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree
-Major in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is desirable

-Native English speaker from UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Ireland
-At least one year teaching experience
-Creative and energetic
-Professional, patient and passionate in teaching young learners
