Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Efl Teachers to Join an Education Project
EFL Positions in Beijing, for August 2014 start: Due to continuing demand from our government partners, we need more ESL teachers for the coming school year. The Chaoyang English Project is a collaboration between a well established international school and the district Education Committee, it aims to improve students’ communication ability in English and develop the local teachers’ English language skills, teaching methodology & pedagogy. This project has a high profile as one of two main projects for the District Education Committee. It’s an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of education in Chaoyang District, Beijing. There is ongoing Professional Development through regular training sessions, plus a cycle of observation and feedback to support the teaching partnerships.
Teaching Duties may include:
*Co-plan & prepare resources based on the local English textbooks
*Team teach English lessons with local partner
*Keep up to date planning & reflection notes
*Assist with special performances or festivals
*Participate in related research; provide feedback; conduct tests & surveys
Salary & Conditions:
*Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications & experience
*Housing & airfare allowances
*Medical insurance & work visa provided
**Work hours approximately 8am-4pm (Mon-Fri), timetable approximately 20 x 40minute periods per week (including between 3-6 co-planning periods for team teachers)
Teacher Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Native English speaker
2. University Degree
3. ESL/EFL/TEFL/TESOL/CELTA/DELTA or recognized (general) Teaching certification
4. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ school teaching or ESL/EFL/TEFL/TESOL/CELTA teaching experience to qualify for a work visa (English teaching/training experience in China/Asia preferred)
5. A passion for contributing and making a difference through education
6. Attributes such as patience, teamwork & collaboration, strong communication & presentation skills and a positive attitude.
