Experienced and Enthusiastic ESL Instructors Needed
SPECTRE Training and Evaluation is a 200 person Emirati owned training company with Western management providing training and courses to military and security professional in the United Arab Emirates. Several ESL instructors are required to provide American English language training in the city of Al Ain. We are actively seeking experienced and enthusiastic ESL Instructors to teach our ESL course to American standards. Each program features small classes (no more than 20 students), student-centered learning, and individualized instruction, supported by state of the art English Language Multimedia Laboratory.
QUALIFICATION:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Teaching/English / Linguistics)
2. Native American English speaker
3. Holder of an internationally recognized qualification in the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or equivalent
4. At least two years of work experience teaching English with preference to foreign students (including T.A., tutoring, etc.)
5. Mature and confident personality sensitive to cultural dynamics.
6. Prior DLI, Headway, Aviation and/or DynEd teaching experience advantageous.
DUTIES:
A typical working week is comprised of 30 hours of teaching and 10 hours of office and development work totaling a maximum of 40 hours. Daily schedule varies from either a 8 am to 2 pm instructional day or in the evening from 5 pm until 9 pm daily and one on one full day on Saturday. Duties include but are not limited to: course preparation, teaching, student monitoring, student assessment, extracurricular activities, etc. High use of English Language software and multimedia programs will be involved and therefore mastery of the computer is essential.

Contract period: 1 to 2 year contracts offered commencing in January 2012
Housing provided with daily per diem
Travel: Incoming and out-going flight ticket to home of record.
Medical: Local medical insurance plus travel insurance.
