The Job

We are a well-established English language school located in the modern, coastal city of Xiamen. We specialize in delivering engaging classes to local students aged from 3 to 15 years old, and we are growing rapidly so currently we are seeking passionate & qualified teachers to join our team!

We use a combination of the National Geographic World series, Cambridge Younger English & Wonder text books. We encourage teachers to help our students learn and improve making use of fun and creative activities. Teachers will be teaching class sizes of 4 to 12 students to ensure the quality of the lesson. We believe in the importance of small class sizes as it allows teachers to devote more time to focus on each child’s personal development and individual learning styles.

We offer a fun, stable, and professional environment for our teachers and students. Moreover, we strongly believe that learning English can be joyful. So far we have helped over hundreds of students achieve their goals. Creative and qualified teachers are welcome to join our team!

Xiamen – The City

Located at the southeast coast of China, Xiamen is a tourist city of Fujian Province famous for its attractive seascape. The name of 'Xiamen' was consequently given, which means 'a gate of China'. As one of the forerunners of the special economic zones of China, Xiamen mainly consisting of Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island, the north bank area of the Jiulong River and Tong'an County, is connected with the mainland by the Xiamen Bridge. The city is well known for its beautiful natural scenery, fresh air and the clean environment.

Xiamen has plenty of special local products that are worth noting, including various kinds of tealeaves, fruits like sugarcanes, olives and longans as well as sea products such as fish, prawns, crabs, abalones and lancelets.

Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 25 teaching hours per week
-Maximum of 15 admin hours per week
-Class sizes: 4 to 12students
-Student ages:  teenage & young learner students  (3-15 years old)
-5 working days per week
-Counseling students by providing constructive feedback
-Cooperate with Chinese staff to ensure the constructive communication and efficient operation of the center
-Participation in Extra Curricular Activities
-Lesson planning, creating course outlines
-Deliver classes in a professional and creative way

Compensation
-Excellent salary: 10,000 to 14,000 RMB per month (depending on qualifications and experience)
-Flight allowance up to 5,000 RMB provided (after six months of contract duration)

Requirements
-Native English speaker from UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia or Ireland
-Bachelor’s degree or above

-Clean criminal record
-Highly responsible team player with hard working ethics
