FEMALE TOEFL TEACHER

One vacancy still exists within the International Department of a Beijing high school for a suitably qualified FEMALE teacher to prepare students for TOEFL exams. This is a challenging position suited to a mature minded teacher with a professional attitude, hands on approach, and experience teaching English to non native speakers.

The ideal applicant will be from Britain, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. Preference will be given to those who can provide a police check from their home country in addition to verifiable references from former employers. Salary and conditions will be negotiated with short listed applicants.

This position provides a FULLY LEGAL WORKING VISA so only applicants with a four year B.A. or higher can be considered. We are an international school within the national curriculum, aiming to bring up those wanting to be ready for overseas study. We educate our kids to be ready and capable of facing the impact of cultural diversity on an international platform, we do not teach them the idea that other people’s grass is greener. We teach our students to be proud of who we are and what we are, to treat everyone equally under the sun. These are part of our school’s motto and we would like any prospective candidate to respect it.

Anyone who takes a superior attitude with a bullying mindset need not apply. We insist on a high standard of personal conduct, on and off duty, from our staff and any breaches of Chinese custom and morality, whether involving the police or not, are grounds for instant dismissal. There is a 3 month trial period on 8000 per month with higher wages and bonuses after the qualifying period.
