Introduction of Ivy International English School

Jiamusi is located in Heilongjiang Province which is in Northeast China. At the center of Northeastern Asian Economic Circle also close to the Russian border, the city has a total land area of 32,700 square kilometers and a population of about 2.5 million.

The city is surrounded by beautiful nature reserves and farmlands so it does not suffer from the air pollution that plagues some other parts of China and has a very healthy environment. The city has four distinctive seasons and the climate is extremely pleasant. In the cool evening, people can enjoy having a good time in nice parks or taking a board walk along the Songhua River. The city is famous for its winter season because of the uniquely gorgeous snow-covered landscape, being a wonderful place for avid skiers. Furthermore, residents can enjoy a warm and comfortable indoor environment despite the cold weather outside as the central heating system is excellent.

Ivy International English School was founded in October, 2004. It is the only English school where the teaching is wholly undertaken by native English speakers. The school is conveniently located in the heart of the downtown area:

- A 5 minute walk to the hospital

- A 15 minute walk to the train and the bus stations

- The apartment community for the foreign teachers is within 15-20 minutes walking

Inside the school, you will find modern conveniences such as tidy classrooms, clean toilets, internet and so on. In each classroom, we have air conditioner for summer and heating system for winter. There are usually 5-15 students in each class and the smart board will be provided for teaching with a laptop by its side.
