Full-time Creative Drama Teacher, Shanghai
EB offers Creative Drama curriculums to local schools. Our drama teachers teach in different schools on weekly bases according to schedule and location.
Job Description:
- Teach Creative Drama to local schools as an extra-art curriculum activity.
-Classes of 20-30 students.
- Classes are 40 minute long.
and you would be teaching a maximum of twenty five hours per week.
- All regular classes are scheduled 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
- You will be asked to teach Creative Drama lessons on a regular basis and/or performance rehearsals on the weekends with extra compensation.
-The curriculum is in place, although teachers are encouraged to add creative ideas after meeting the core aim of each lesson.
-Work collaboratively with other team members, sharing and adapting materials to suit students¡¯ needs and target their levels.
-Participate in Creative Drama trainings facilitated by the DOS to advance know-how and experience, and to help create basic elements for a standardized Drama program.
- Join in with teambuilding activities, professional development activities and meetings.
- Contribute to course resources and development.
-Join in with school activities and company marketing events.
- Opportunities, if desired¡ªto participate in EB educational theater performances.
- Schools begins September 1st and runs until June 30th (2016).
-10 month contract for those who don¡¯t want to work in the summer.
-12 month contract for those who are willing to work in our summer camp programs.
- You will be expected to be on board by Oct. 30th.
Qualifications:
- Hold an accredited university Bachelor of Arts degree.
- Be a native English speaker.
- Have a minimum of 2 years working/teaching experience.
- Hold an accredited Theater Arts degree or experience in Drama.
-Compensation:
- Between 15-18,000 RMB per month, after tax.
- 10,000 RMB end-of-contract bonus (related to completion of contract and performance).
- Travel allowance 8,000 RMB per year, paid upon completion of 1st semester, upon completion of contract.
- Paid winter vacation between semesters (about 3 weeks paid holiday, usually in the month of February, ideal for travelling).
- Bilingual staff to assist with housing/cultural issues.
- Team dinners/trips to nearby sights.
