Gwangju Gwangsan Cheomdan English Center in Gwangju, Korea, has two teaching positions open for qualified native English-speaking EFL Teachers, starting in November 14, 2011 and January 1, 2012.
Qualifications:
• BA degree or higher degree with previous teaching experiences of children aged from 8 to 13 at any kinds of schools.
(The qualified Teacher who has previous experience working with EPIK program, will start at 1 level higher salary. Employee must provide proof of previous EPIK experience by giving a Letter of Employment from the Office of Education and a copy of previous contract.)
• Native English-speaking
• Must hold a valid foreign passport
Terms of Employment
•Responsibilities
The Teacher will teach a maximum of 22 hours per week Situational Morning English Program, Wednesday Morning Program(Co-teaching) and Afterschool Program(3 major programs at the English Center). This will involve teaching all four skills of English at various levels of proficiency.
Additional responsibilities should include such extra-curricular pedagogical duties as writing progressive reports every trimester and teaching during the summer or winter vacation camp (with due compensation).
•Contract Period (2 Positions)
One year from November 2011 to November 2012 (renewable)
One year from January 2012 to December 2012 (renewable)
•Housing
Furnished housing will be provided.
•Additional Benefits
Settlement allowance, 14 days of paid leave, one month's salary bonus after the completion of one-year contract
