Full-time Kindergarten Teaching Position
Teach in Tianjin (3rd Largest City in China) – 12,000 to 17,000 RMB/month
Shijia Education is an education company offering comprehensive programs for English learners in China. The company is owned and managed by a Canadian who was formerly teaching in Asia. Growing Planet (GP) operates pre-K and kindergarten programs for 2-6 year olds providing a broad-based curriculum including arts, mathematics, science and other subjects.
Growing Planet (GP) was created to introduce a western early childhood educational program to Chinese families. Completely taught by foreign teachers, we strive to provide a caring, family oriented environment for the children to learn and play cheerfully. Our curriculum combines excellent educational methods in the field of language acquisition and early childhood education while maintaining a cultural balance between innovative learning techniques and traditional academic foundations. At Growing Planet, our young students become fluent in English through a variety of stimulating, hands-on activities and lively conversations with our caring foreign teachers in a full-day immersion program.
We are now hiring for August starts in our Day School program. These are year-long, full-time teaching positions. See below for details:
POSITION 1: Pre-K and Kindergarten Lead Teacher (1 Position)
Description: We are seeking a caring, patient and energetic lead teacher who enjoys working with children ages 2 to 6. Candidates should be self-confident individuals who are flexible to cultural differences working abroad. We are looking for team players who enjoy collaborating with others in growing our school. We also require the candidate to have experience with curriculum development and teacher management work for this position.
Qualifications:
Native English Speakers from North America, UK or Australia
At least 3 years Early Childhood Education and/or Child Care experience; Bachelor’s degree with teaching license/certificate preferred
Due to Visa Restrictions, Candidates need to be between 25-60,Couples Welcome
Compensation: 12,000 to 15,000 (Depending on qualifications)
Airfare Reimbursement: Contract Completion Bonus of 8,000 RMB
POSITION 2: Pre-K and Kindergarten Teacher (1 Position)
Description: We are seeking caring, patient and energetic self-starters who enjoy working with children ages 2 to 6. Candidates should be self-confident individuals who are flexible to cultural differences working abroad. We are looking for team players who enjoy collaborating with others and who embrace the creative challenge of teaching young children.
Qualifications: Native English Speakers from North America, UK or Australia
At least 2 years Early Childhood Education and/or Child Care experience; Bachelor’s degree with teaching license/certificate preferred
Due to Visa Restrictions, Candidates need to be between 25-60,Couples Welcome
Compensation: 14,000 to 17,000 (Depending on qualifications)
Airfare Reimbursement: Contract Completion Bonus of 8,000 RMB
Contract details:
Contract start date: July 29th 2013
Contract duration: through 2013-14 academic year (July 2014)
Contract: 40 hours/week (27.5 Contact hours)
Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Fridays (2 hour lunch break)
Location: Tianjin City (Tianjin is the 3rd largest city in China and 30 minutes away from Beijing by train)
All GP teachers have access to:
- Chinese administrators who assist with housing, IT, transportation and translation needs
- Bilingual Chinese teaching assistants who work alongside our foreign teachers in class
- Media tools on site–computers and internet, printers, scanners, projectors and more
