Full-time Oral/written English Teacher

Shenyang Korean International School has a position open for a full-time Oral/Written English teacher for this coming semester in Shenyang, China

Shenyang Korean International School was officially opened with approval from the Korean and Chinese governments in 2006. Our school consists of Kindergarten (from the ages of 4-6 with 39 students in total), Elementary (from grades 1-6 with 73 students in total), Middle and High School (from grades 7-12 with 123 students in total) departments. All the students in Shenyang Korean International School are Korean, and we have around 30 teachers including five native English teachers and six native Chinese teachers.

We have recently moved to a new campus in the south of the city and are in the process of building a new purpose built campus, also in the south of the city. Because we are a small but growing school, the driving force of what we do comes from knowing our students well and as individuals: their needs, characteristics and wellbeing.

We are looking for a professional teacher, who is only from the following English speaking countries; US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. We are not a training school and so are looking for a teacher who wants to work in a full time school¡¯s environment and can commit (long term) to our school and our children.

• Teaching position: Oral/Written English teacher 
• School Location: Heping District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province 
• Time to start of teaching: March 1st (The first day of the 1st semester) 
• Contract Duration: 2 years 
• Teaching hours: 20 classes per week (45 minutes each class) and 5 days per week. 
• Office time: 8:20 a.m. - 4:20 p.m., Monday to Friday (On a few occasions Saturdays may also be required to work when the school has an event.) 
• Salary: Total 17,500 RMB (before tax) per month 
-Details (Basic Salary: 13,000 RMB per month, Administrative Allowance in English Department: 1,000 RMB, Housing Allowance: 3,500 RMB per month) 
N.B. Normally there is an increase in salary at the beginning of every new school year. 
• Benefits include a 26,000 RMB bonus upon the completion of a two year contract 
• Opportunities are given to teach after school classes with extra pay. 
• Holidays: Around 35 days of summer vacation and 40 days of winter vacation fully paid. In addition, around one additional week of vacation is given each semester according to the school¡¯s yearly schedule. (A teacher may be required to participate in 2-3 weeks of extra-curricular English camps during summer and winter vacation. This work will be paid additionally.) 
• Visa: Working Z visa provided 
• Native English speaker: Required from UK/ Ireland /USA/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/South Africa 
Applicants currently working in China on a Z visa are preferred. 
• Degree essential, CELTA, or TEFL preferred 
• Teaching experience of more than 1 year and a teaching qualification is preferred 
• Age: 25-40 years old
