1. IB-MYP/DP Subject Teachers at the Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School (WFLMS)
Established in August 1996, Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School is located in the southwestern part of Xuhui District in Shanghai. The Xuhui District is generally seen as one of the most important education areas in Shanghai. The WFLMS is privately run and implements the I.B.O. (International Baccalaureate Organization) program.
Serving grades 6-12, the School’s mission is to produce students who have a competitive edge academically and have the ability to contribute to society in meaningful way, both locally and internationally. In partnership with U-Learn, the WFLMS takes significant steps to prepare its students for college and university life, whether it be in China or abroad.
We require several teachers who will be able to work in the Middle Years Program (MYP), Diploma Program (DP), and Bilingual/Local sections of the WFLMS for the 2013-2014 school year beginning September 1, 2013. A breakdown of our current position openings is as follows:
MYP (Middle Years Program)
1. General Science teachers (1-2 positions)
2. ESL Reading/Writing (2-3 positions)
DP (Diploma Program)
1. English B teachers (2-3 positions)
Bilingual/Local Section
1. General Science teacher (1 position)
Ideal candidates have the following qualifications/characteristics:
1. A major in the subject they are teaching
2. 2 years teaching experience is preferred
3. Teaching credentials are preferred

2. ESL, General Science Teachers at the Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School (WFLPS) Local Department
The third and final department within the WFLPS is the Local Department. The main focus is developing good student habits based on regular, seasonal, and grade “modes,” which aids students’ life-long development. Recognized as the Teachers’ Training and Development Model School by the Ministry of Education, many teachers from the Local Department have received international and national awards in several competitions.

We require one ESL, one General Science Teacher for the 2013-2014 school year beginning August 25, 2013.
Ideal candidates have the following qualifications/characteristics:
1. College graduate (no specific major required for ESL teacher)
2. TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certified (or other equivalent degree)
3. Native English-speaker
4. 1-2 years teaching experience is preferred

3. U.S. Program Assistant Manager (Shanghai/Suzhou)
This role will be based in Shanghai/Suzhou but all will also work from our Shanghai office. Suzhou is a one hour drive out of Shanghai. It is a city of 6.5 million people and is known as the ‘Venice of the East’ as it is located on the ancient Grand Canal and is a city steeped in history.
The job purpose is to teach the SAT/TOEFL to Chinese students to enable these students to sit these tests for admission into American educational institutions and to promote the US Programs within the Shanghai/Suzhou district.
You will be required to:
• Teach the SAT/TOEFL curriculum to Chinese students.
• Undertake promotional work associated with the US Programs.
• To provide a US High School and college placement consultancy service.
• To provide advice and support on business growth and development.
For this position you will need to have:
• U.S. citizenship
• Detailed knowledge of the SAT/TOEFL test and U.S. college admission processes
• Degree-level education from an American university (recent graduate)
• Diploma from an American high school
