Job Title: 
Pre-K / Kindergarten ESL Teacher 
Meitong Academy (Pudong, Shanghai)

Duties and Responsibilities: 
The teacher will provide high quality and comprehensive English language instruction to children enrolled at Meitong Academy’s daytime and afterschool programs. The teacher will work together with homeroom teachers and teaching assistants while reporting to our English Director & CEO. The teacher will maintain a relationship with parents & guardians to provide updates on academic progress and gain feedback.

Specific responsibilities will be:

• To develop engaging lessons and provide instruction in accordance with the school’s English language curriculum 
• To encourage student participation by providing interactive activities (games, songs, projects, etc.) 
• To help supervise at meal and recreation times, and – in general – work with other teachers to ensure the school environment is safe and conducive to learning 
• To communicate will parents & guardians – as needed – by telephone, email, chat, etc. 
• To perform other duties pertaining to English language instruction 
• To provide feedback to the English Director and Meitong Academy CEO regarding the English language curriculum

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, English Language/Literature, or another relevant subject area

• 1+ years of teaching experience

We’re looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who has demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written / oral). This individual should be caring, patient, and have a positive approach to working with children.

ESL certification (TESOL / TEFL) is not required but will be considered as a positive.

Salary: 13,000 – 20,000 RMB/month, dependent upon experience and education. Other possible benefits will be negotiable and up to the discretion of the English Director and CEO. If the teacher is residing outside of Shanghai, we will gladly provide assistance transitioning to the area.
