Hagwon in Apgujeong Seeking Native English Teachers for Ages 5-11

We are looking for at least two native English teachers for our English Hagwon and Kindergarten in Apgujeong, at Sinsa Dong 635-4. Our school is very different from other hagwons. Founded by an American and Swedish couple in 2013 as an after-school academy, it is a genuinely fun environment with small classes (4-6 students) and lesson plans geared around speaking, performing, and debate, with plenty of games and activities. This is not a job for people who just go through the motions of teaching, we are looking for smart, dynamic, fun, and very enthusiastic people. We value high performing teachers, treat them like professionals, and reward them accordingly.

After School Teachers:

Teaching hours will be 2:30-6:30pm most days

Students age 6-11, no more than 6 students per class

Salary ranges from 2.2mil to 3.6mil depending on skill, experience, and hours availability.

Weekend Teachers:

We have classes on Saturdays from 10-6:30pm and Sundays from 10-5pm.

Students age 5-9, no more than 6 students per class

Pay is w25.000 per hour or more, depending on skill and experience.

Requirements:

At least one year teaching experience

Fluent, native English

Love for kids

Great attitude

Flexible mind, willing to try new methods

Creative approach to solving problems and getting the best out of kids

Smart, fun, kind, enthusiastic

Compensation:

KRW 2.2 - 3.6 million per month, depending on experience and abilities
