Hello! My name is Mark and I am an ESL instructor at Happy English! I am from America and have been teaching in China for the past few years. Peter (the founder of Happy English) and I are looking for some fresh new faces to join our team! We are currently expanding our training center through new branches and are seeking to hire several new ESL teachers in the coming months.

We are located in the city of Haifeng, Guangdong Province which is in southeastern China. Haifeng is not a huge city but it is close to Shenzhen and Hong Kong (about 1½ hours fast train or 2½ hours bus ride), and Guangzhou (about 2 hours fast train or 3½ hour bus ride) a very large city which happens to be the capital of Guangdong Province. Yes, summers are hot, but homes and facilities are well equipped with air conditioners and there's a lot of interesting things to do any time of the year. The people here are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home! You will also have no trouble finding an amazing meal as the food is incredible from the local Chinese dishes to sushi, to western food, and even Turkish cuisine! Southeastern China is also a great place to learn Chinese due to the more informal pronunciation and vocabulary in this region.

About the job:
We teach students of all ages, starting from kindergarten on up to adults and offer EAP/Business English classes.
Since we are a training center, the hours will vary depending on class enrollment and peak seasons. We offer a great base salary of 9000 RMB (around $1300 USD) per month and additional classes (over 23 hours per week) will be paid another 100 RMB per hour according to our enrollment status. A sample schedule would be:
Monday - Friday: 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am to 11:30am, 2:30pm to 4:30pm,
and 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
We provide our teachers with a furnished, private apartment (teacher pays water and electric), Z working visa, pick-up from airport upon arrival, and a 6000 RMB (about $850 USD) contact completion bonus after one year.

What we are looking for:
Native English Speaker
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
TEFL/TESOL Certificate
At least 1 year teaching experience.
Kind, friendly, energetic and creative person with a passion for education.
Someone under the age of 50 with no drug, alcohol or health problems.
