Job Description:

* Candidates should be energetic and able to work with children.

* Candidates should have a BA degree or higher (not necessary in exceptional

cases)

* Candidates should be reliable and hygienic.

* 25 hours a week -- mostly evenings and weekends.

* Candidate should be comfortable working with children in the five to nine age range.

* 12 month contract (Can be renewed) (approx. 6+ weeks of vacation) 4 summer

/ 2 winter.

My (American-run) English training center, with branches in Beijing &

Chengdu, is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic teacher to join our

staff. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Our school specializes in

using American style classes and curriculum to teach Chinese children

English!

Great for someone who is looking to fill a year of work experience.

Candidates will have the option to participate in development of our

curriculum and course testing.

We are looking for committed individuals that can commit to a minimum of a

year.

No matter who you are, living overseas can be a challenge. China, while

still developing, is a very exciting place to live and work. We are looking

for people with a spirit of adventure and an open mind.

Our training center focuses on children between the ages of 4 and 14 and

also does training for adults.

We primarily focus on speaking, reading and writing. Because of the market

we serve, we primarily work on evenings and weekends, which is nice because,

from Monday to Friday, our schedule is pretty relaxed. Weekends are busy,

obviously, because that is when children have free time.

The classes are all pre-prepared and are run off of powerpoints. The

children are divided into classes according to their language level which

makes teaching them easier and more efficient. The classes for the youngest

students focus primarily on learning basic nouns, expressions and songs. The

textbooks and course material are ESL oriented. For the more advanced

students we have a curriculum that uses American textbooks. The classes are

meant to be fun and exciting, but also effective.
