International High School Teacher for Guangzhou, China

Introduction:
AAPS is looking to hire a suitable candidate for the Autumn 2016 term in the sub-tropical city of Guangzhou in the Pearl River Delta just north of Hong Kong. AAPS is an established international high school which prepares students for pre-university courses at partner institutions in the United States and the United Kingdom. A recent expansion of the international programme has driven the need for a teacher of combined science and EFL to join our friendly teaching team.

Teaching:
The programme involves teaching 14-16year old Chinese combined science, within the parameters of the British GCSE qualification framework. The teaching workload would involve about 25 hours per week of teaching between Monday and Friday. All teaching materials would be provided by AAPS and additional support would be available from the school¡¯s partner college in the UK. Daily supervision, support and guidance would also be provided by the Academic Director. All short-listed applicants will receive photos of AAPS¡¯ modern campus and classrooms.

Candidate Requirements:
*Essential
1.A native-speaker from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.
2.A science graduate from an established university in one of the above countries.
3.A positive ¡®people person¡¯ who can engage positively with young learners.
4.A team-player with a ¡®can-do¡¯ .

*Preferred
1.A teaching qualification.
2.Experience of teaching students in China/South Korea/Japan/Vietnam.

Compensation:

1.Monthly salary: 16000 Rmb/month
2.Settlement allowance: 6000 Rmb/Lump Sum
3.Travel allowance: 8000 Rmb/year based on the renewed contract
4.Medical: Group Medical Insurance Covered
5.Teaching visa sponsorship: Handled and Sponsored by the School
