International Kindergarten and ESL Teachers Wanted for the 2018-19 School Year

Duration of Contract: Flexible, two, six and twelve month contracts availible 
Location: Hainan Province and Changsha, Hunan Province, China

Program description: 
Our school is an expanding group of American/Chinese bilingual kindergartens and ESL schools in China. The school is opening a new program starting in September 2018. The schools are child centered and bilingual with a Chinese and native English speaker in each classroom. Children attending the school are local Chinese students whose parents want to give their children a head start with English language acquisition as well as exposure to a more child centered approach to learning.

Position Description: 
Teachers will work closely with their Chinese counterparts to insure that the school day is balanced between structured learning and free choice time with a rich array of activities that stimulate language, social awareness, and language acquisition. We are looking for teachers who understand what young learners need and is willing to work in a bilingual environment alongside Chinese teachers. Teachers in this setting will be providing a western model of education as well as exposing young Chinese students to English language learning.

Qualifications: 
University degree 
Teaching qualification/certificate 
Minimum of 2 years experience teaching young learners a plus 
Ability to adapt to new situations 
Strong interest in travel and learning 
Strong base of knowledge regarding the needs of primary/kindergarten students 
Able to work in a collaborative team setting 
Excellent communication skills 
Flexible, ‘can do’ attitude
