International programs: University & High School (Zhengzhou)

Full-time teachers required for the following subjects: 
• English for Academic Purposes 
• IELTS / TOEFL 
• South Australia Certificate of Education (English as an Additional Language) 
• SAT Reading and Writing 
Up to 18 hours per-week classroom teaching. Office hours: maximum 4

10-month contract starting September 2019

Salary High School: 14,000 – 18,000 RMB

University: 10,000 – 13,000 RMB (depends on job and qualifications)

Accommodation and flights provided or stipend provided.

Requirements 
• Candidates must be from a country where English is officially recognized first language 
• Undergraduate Degree minimum (notarized and then authenticated by Chinese Consulate) 
• 2 years work experience or a TOEFL Certificate 
• Criminal background check (notarized and then authenticated by Chinese Consulate) 
• You may be asked for a short 2 or 3 minute self introductory video and / or Skype interview 
• Not more than 55 years old at time of application.

Responsibilities: 
• Working with colleagues to develop a syllabus. 
• Developing lesson plans and adapting to students’ English ability. 
• Diligent, punctual and with the students’ best interests at heart. 
• To assist with occasional extracurricular activities on-campus

Work permit and health insurance are provided in accordance with all provincial regulations. Work permit is provided by the hiring school directly. Teachers will not be asked to work at schools other than that which provides the work permit. Only full-time candidates will be considered.

Zhengzhou is a large city with a good, close-knit foreign population. It is very central and convenient for traveling around China (3 hours to Beijing, 2 hours to Xian, 30 minutes to Shaolin Temple and Luoyang’s Longmen Grottoes by high-speed train). THe Middle and High Schools are both located in the city. The cost of livng is low in comparison with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou. Getting around and eating are inexpensive as are most other services.
