Job #1002: Part-time Online English Tutor Teaching to Chinese

We are seeking native English speakers teaching English online to Chinese adults and kids

Langham International specialising in sourcing qualified English teachers for online schools globally. We source and screen native English speaking and qualified teachers and match them to schools’ recruitment needs. Our service is completely free for teachers - there are no fees or salary deductions.

Our client is an online English education company China. They offer (i) basic conversational English lessons to young children (typically 5-12 years old); (ii) general English to adults and (iii) specific English including business and tourism English to adults. They are currently looking for online English teachers for above three types of students for next year’s intake.

This position is ideal for qualified candidates to supplement their income and to develop skills in teaching English.

Teaching details

• 1-on-1 online full English teaching classes for children
• 1-on-1 online conversational, business and tourism English for adults

Requirement for candidates

• Bachelor or above degree
• Native English speakers; nationalities from UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand are preferred
• Willing to teach during Beijing local time zone
• Relevant teaching experience would be preferred
  • For teaching young children, good communication skills and patience would be required
• Be responsible and professional; be punctual and consistent in attendance.
• Certifications in TEFL, EL, TESL, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent are a plus
• Good internet connection, camera, headset

Job details

• Contract term: 6-12 Months
• Minimum 10 teaching hours per week
• Starting: from early 2017 and recruitment on a yearly rolling basis
• Basic salary: US$ 14-$18/hour without bonus (bonus to be discussed)
