The Job

Our public kindergarten in Beijing is now holding interviews for motivated and qualified English young learner teachers. Our students are aged from 3 to 6 years old and we warmly welcome teachers who thrive on inspiring young learners to join our professional team in Beijing.

Our kindergarten was established in 1958 and located in Dongcheng district, Beijing. We now have 3 campuses in the central area of Beijing. We are proud recipients of the The Beijing Model Kindergarten award. With 26 classes and 900 Chinese and foreign kids, 190 teachers and staff, we focus on the childrens overall development and education. The school attains high quality international education through the joint programs with American, Canadian, Japanese and Danish embassies every year.

Our teachers play an essential role and are responsible for direct implementation and instruction of the curriculum to their students. You can also provide feedback on the curriculum content to help improve it.

All new teachers will receive training every week and will be introduced to the school and teaching methods. Teaching materials and resources are provided by the school and are targeted to the age of the students being taught. Materials follow the Chinese national school curriculum. Teachers are encouraged to adapt and supplement the materials where need be to ensure classes are engaging and interesting.

Beijing 

Beijing, capital of the Peoples Republic of China, is the nations political, economic, cultural, educational and international trade and communication center. Located in northern China, close to the port city of Tianjin and partially surrounded by Hebei province, Beijing continues to be an exciting place for all things music, fashion and art with plenty of events and shows to attend. This is the worlds largest public square and a must see for all visitors from abroad and from other places in China.

There is a thriving expat community in Beijing, with the Sanlitun area being a popular destination for both expats and trendy locals to mix and mingle over drinks. One of the most important landmarks in the city is Tiananmen Square. This is the worlds largest public square and a must see for all visitors from abroad and from other places in China.

Main Responsibilities
o Maximum of 30 working hours per week 
o Monday to Friday Schedule: 7:30 am to 15:30 pm (weekends off) 
o Student ages: 3 to 6 o Class size: 20 to 25 students
o Conduct classes that are fun and engaging 


Compensation
Total monthly package adds up to 16,000 - 18,000 RMB, which breaks down as follows:
o Base salary: 12,000 to 14,000 RMB (depending on experience and qualifications)
o Arrival 5 days hotel allowance on provision of receipt
o Housing allowance: 4,000 RMB
o Airfare allowance on contract completion: 8,000 RMB 
o 12 national holidays plus 15 days paid winter vacation 
o Legal Z work visa provided
o Health insurance provided
o Breakfast and lunch provided during work schedule 
o Professional training and ongoing program support


Requirements
o Bachelors degree
o 120 hour TEFL certificate or higher required (No TEFL? We recommend INTESOL, est. 1993, 50% discounts: www.GoldStarTeachers.com/INTESOL)
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa
o 2 years relevant teaching experience preferred (If not, then you should have TEFL)
o Clean criminal background
o Motivated, professional and culturally aware
