Positions available:

Primary School Teacher (K-6th grade)

Secondary School English Teacher (7th – 12th grade)

Secondary School Science Teacher (7th – 11th grade)

Starting salary from 21,000rmb per month teaching primary school OR secondary school. Contract duration: 1 year (starting March 1, 2015 and ending January 9, 2016)

Korea International School in Beijing (KISB) is a K-12 school for Korean expatriate students. Students learn Korean, English, and Chinese. Native teacher classes are taught immersion-style, entirely in English. Teacher duties include both oral and written English lessons, including short stories and novels. All teachers must submit weekly lesson plans and write mid-term and final examinations. Class sizes range from 10 to 22 students per class. Students are tested at the beginning of each term and then divided into 6 class groups per grade depending on their English language levels.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree

2. At least 2 years of teaching experience

3. TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, TKT, TESL (Or equivalent English Teaching Certificate)

4. Microsoft Office proficiency (or equivalent)

5. Must be a native English speaker

6. Must like to work with children/teens

7. Enjoy working as part of a dedicated team

Working Conditions at KISB for Full-time Teachers:

1. Base salary starting from 15,000 RMB per month (pre-tax), higher depending on qualifications (TESOL, TEFL, Graduate Degree, Teaching Certificate). In ADDITION to base salary, teachers receive a housing allowance of 6200 RMB (or 7200 RMB for families of 3 or larger) per month.

2. Fully-paid summer and winter vacations (approx. 3 months/year).

3. Working hours: 8:00 am – 4:30pm (Monday-Friday).

4. A full schedule comprises 20 classes per week (45 minutes per class). Extra classes may be required on rare/exceptional occasions and are compensated at 200 RMB per class (pre-tax).

5. Daily lunch provided.

6. Z visa sponsorship.

7. One-way airfare to China reimbursed (if hired outside of China) - provided after the completion of one full semester.

8. Contract completion bonus of one month's salary
