About Changchun
Changchun is the provincial capital of Jilin province in beautiful northeast China. Close to Russia, Mongolia and Korea, it is a great launching point for travelers. Beijing is just six hours away via train or an hour and a half via plane. Despite its growing population of nearly 8 million, the people of Changchun are extremely friendly. Moreover, it is a very safe for foreign teachers and is a great place to live and work. The air is refreshingly clean and the low cost of living means that teachers can enjoy a comfortable lifestyle. There are plenty of green spaces and parks – with Nanhu Park in the center of the city, Changchun World Sculpture Park in the south, and Jingyuetan Park, the largest man-made forest park in Asia, Changchun deserves being listed as one of China’s “National Garden Cities". Outdoors enthusiasts can also go skiing, snowboarding or skating in winter. Changchun is also famous for being the last home of Pu Yi, the last Emperor of China.
