Responsibilities
The primary role of the language coordinator will be to work closely with the ESL staff in creating an English curriculum that will be implemented throughout the school – to be completed in no more than 1 year. It will have to be tailored to the varying needs of each age group, ranging from ages 0 – 6.
We follow the Reggio Emillia approach to education, which is inquiry-based learning. By observing the student's interests, the learning can be centered around the children, making them drive the learning, while the teacher plays the role of a guide, facilitator and provoker. We require the successful candidate to incorporate elements of this approach into the curriculum.
To support your work in designing and implementing the curriculum, you will also teach English lessons in our bilingual department, delivering classes to children aged 0 - 6. You will have no more than 20 hours face-to-face teaching time per week. Your working hours will be 10am - 6pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9am – 1pm on Friday. Each class will have a maximum of 22 students (depending on the age group), and two Chinese teaching assistants will provide support during lessons.

• 12,000 RMB (per month) + yearly bonus of 10,000 RMB

You must have:
• A bachelor’s degree in TESOL, Linguistics or Early Years Education
• At least 2 years of experience teaching English to kindergarten aged children with English as their second language
• Native English speaker from Australia, America, Canada, the UK or New Zealand
