Live and Teach in Beijing With Shane English School

British-owned and run by western management, Shane English School Beijing offers an 18,000 RMB monthly salary, 4,500 RMB flight reimbursement, 4,000 RMB end of contract bonus, and 22 paid holidays per year. Full training and continuous academic support from the Academic Managers and Director of Studies will be provided to all teachers throughout their contract.

Classes and working schedule:
Students at Shane English School Beijing are broken up into two age groups: Very young learners (3-6 years old) and young learners (7-12 years old). The classes are all manageable sizes with a maximum of 10-12 students. Teachers work a maximum of 20 hours a week but enjoy a guaranteed salary for the weeks when they work less than 20 hours.
There is a tailored curriculum for teachers to follow, and all teaching guides, materials, and resources will be provided by the school. There will also be a teaching assistant in every class to assist with preparing activities, checking books, and maintaining order in the class.

Training, support, and development:
Previous teaching experience is not essential as all new teachers will undergo a week of initial training. This training will be conducted by the Academic Manager or Director of Studies to ensure all teachers are completely comfortable and confident in teaching the Shane English curriculum. Workshops will also be held throughout the year to help teachers develop their skills, while the Academic Manager may observe some classes to provide feedback on areas of improvement.

Accommodation and orientation:
All new teachers will receive full assistance in the process of getting settled in Beijing. A member of staff will be assigned to help the new teachers find suitable accommodation close to the school, sign contracts, open a bank account, and anything else the teacher may need to get completely settled in Beijing. As Beijing can be an expensive city to get settled in, new teachers may request an interest-free loan from the school.
Salary and benefits
The salary is based on a maximum of 80 hours per month. The salary is guaranteed, so months with less than 80 hours will not affect your salary.

All teachers will receive an 18,000 RMB monthly salary, a flight reimbursement of up to 4,500 RMB, 22 days paid holiday, an end of contract bonus of 4,000 RMB, health insurance, an arrival hotel for the first week, and all visa costs in China will be covered by the school.
