Live in a Beach Village in southern Thailand and Get TEFL Certified. Teach in the Local Community during Certification!

Get a 120 hour TEFL Certification while living 15 minutes from the gorgeous Thailand beaches.

We offer 2 week, 4 week, 6 week, up to 24 month programs offered.

Gain real life teaching experience as you gain an internationally recognized TEFL certification from an experienced teacher trainer. Work with local students ages 14 and up, in a local community. The community was affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami and you help make a positive impact in their lives as they rebuild after the devastation. Through the TEFL classes, English courses are structured into four week blocks, with your class going through a formal evaluation at the end of each block before advancing onto the next level.

Between each 4 week block of lessons there is a 2 week break, where you will take part in various other community projects, such as teaching in local schools, training local English teachers or environmental education, contributing to the long-term sustainability of our work.

Our main goal is to create competent, positive, experienced TEFL Teachers. We also aim to keep these English classes running so that the community can learn English in order to benefit from the increase in tourism in the area. We aim to provide enthusiastic TEFL-certified teachers
to meet our goal and make a real difference in the community.

Personally, you will gain invaluable teaching experience as you work your way through your own challenges in creating and delivering exciting and interactive lessons. How this project makes a difference:
As tourism develops in Thailand, there are an increasing number of jobs available that require English. In order for local adults to get these jobs, they must be able to speak English. GVI is working directly with these friendly and hardworking communities to provide needed English education resources.
