Are you looking for an ESL teaching position? I had taught English to South Korean students for over 15 years before I became a recruiter. So if you have any kind of questions regarding teaching in South Korea then please feel free to ask me. Also I have some job offers for you. Please remember if you get to have an interview with any of schools you apply for then you will have a chance to talk with one or two of current native teachers there (This is most important thing to do because you can check how they've been treated and how the school, students and housing are actually, etc.!), receive photos of housing and schools, ask about environment, etc. Unless you sign a contract there is no obligation at all!!! Job Title: ESL Teacher
Location: Seoul, Busan, InCheon and 5 of other cities (Currently 13 openings) in South Korea
Working Time and Salary: 9:00am~5:00pm OR 2:00pm~9:00pm, 30 teaching hours per week, DOE KRW 2,200,000~2,550,000/mo (US $ 2,200~2,550/mo)
Severance Bonus: 1 month salary at the end of 1 year contract
Income Tax: 4.5% (Pending Tax Return after completing 1 year contract)
Vacation: 10 Day Paid Vacation per year (A week off in summer and a week off in winter) + 3 Day Sick Leave + 10~14 Korean National Holidays
Medical Insurance: 50% / 50% (School / Teacher)
Housing: Fully furnished studio or 1 bedroom apartment in a walking distance from the school (Utilities not included)
Airfare: 1 Roundtrip ticket per year
Contract Term: 1 year with option to renew
No. of Native Teachers: 3~10
No. of Students in a class: 5~12
School history: The first school of this franchise opened 60 years ago. They have lots of experience with native teachers. One of the biggest English school franchises in South Korea.
