Looking for a New Full-time Teacher and One Part Time Teacher
Global Language Village in Tianjin, (30 minutes from Beijing by express train), a modern English language school for young children is looking for a new full-time teacher and one part time teacher
If interested please respond if you are able to fill the following requirements:
Requirements:
-Native caucasian North American, UK, Australian or New Zealand national, whose mother tongue and first spoken language is English. (If your spoken English is without any other accent, then we can consider you as well.)
-energetic, fun and enjoy working with and teaching young children.
-patient, good team leader, organized and works well with others.
-punctual, and diligent in carrying out assigned classes and preparation of class responsibilities.
-willing to sign a one year contract.
Working hours/days:
-the working hours are flexible but usually most classes are in the evenings from 4pm – 7:30pm, and sometimes there are classes in the morning.
-Monday is a set day off, and for the full time teacher you will have two additional half days off a week. There are classes on Saturdays & Sundays. The maximum teaching hours would be 25 hours a week along with required hours for preparing classes and meeting times with other teachers.
Holidays:
-You would get one month paid holiday a year; two weeks during Chinese New Year, one week in July or August, and one week during National Holiday week in October.
-You would also have other government recognized holidays off with pay such as Moon Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, New Year’s day, etc.
Class details:
-you will be the head teacher of each class you are teaching, and you will have a full time Chinese assistant who speaks English.
-each class has a maximum of 12 students
-the age range of the children is from 4-11 years old
-each classroom has a computer and projector and good teaching aids.
-we provide an easy to follow curriculum, although you are free to adapt according to your own teaching style and preferences.
Salary:
-For new teachers – 8,000RMB starting salary with 1,500RMB housing allowance. After two months depending on your performance your salary can be raised by 1,000 – 2,000 RMB. (For the part-time teacher, you will get 120 – 180 RMB an hour depending on your experience.)
-For full time and part-time teachers with experience and good references, we can negotiate your starting salary up to 15,000 RMB a month, inclusive of bonus, health insurance and accommodation allowance.
Note: All financial amounts listed are subject to a 5% government tax deduction.
- Other benefits:
After completing a one year contract, you would receive an 8,000 RMB bonus.
-Health insurance after completing six months on the job.
-You will be managed by a foreign team, and we also have a good working environment and fun lively team of teachers, both foreign and Chinese.
-if you have a B.A. degree or higher, we can help you to secure a legal working visa.
-if you are new to China, our staff can help you to find accommodations and also find your way around the city, etc.
