We currently have a number of vacancies for fun, dynamic ESL teachers in Yangzhou - an Ancient city in the heart of Jiangsu province, on the banks of the Yangtze river and within easy reach of Shanghai and Nanjing.

Working as part of the Foreign Teacher department you will provide hour-long classes to students - usually between the ages of 16-25. With a focus on conversational English, your main role will be to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere where students will feel comfortable practicing their English. No language skills (other than native English!) or formal teaching qualifications are required for this role, but either would be a positive.

Our foreign teaching team is comprised of a diverse group of Native English speakers from around the world (Irish, English, Australian, American & Canadian) managers in all 3 campuses are native English speakers. You will work alongside a fantastic group of Chinese teachers all with excellent English skills.

Job Details:

* 25 one hour lessons per week. The vast majority of these will be conversational classes, but you may have some regular children's classes, TOEFL or IELTS classes, or some irregular classes such as baking or cocktail-making.

* 15 office hours every week.

* Two days off per week.

* Teacher training over a variety of different disciplines: Conversational English, IELTS, TOEFL, children’s classes.

* Improved cultural awareness & the opportunity to learn a new language.

* Teachers will be given the opportunity to take part in marketing activities with the school.

* Previous teachers have even been able to judge English speaking (and singing!) competitions at YZ University - X-Factor style.

* We make no guarantees about any improvement to your KTV (chinese karaoke) skills…

This is all whilst earning a generous wage: as living costs in YZ are so low, current teachers have been able to save between 3000-7000 a month on a salary of 10k RMB.
