SCHOOL INTRODUCTION:
The school has successfully run English language program in Gunsan and now expanding its program to local elementary schools and starts to offer winter English camps in Sebu, Philippines. This school is looking for someone with theological backgrounds or missionary training.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a native English speaking teacher your main role will be:
- To instruct conversational English to ESL speakers ranging from Kindergarteners to adult students.
- To encourage students to speak English with a variety of classroom activities
- To create a positive and friendly atmosphere while educating them about conversational English
- To evaluate student progress.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Instructing conversational English in a classroom setting
- Following and helping to design curriculum
- Assessing students through tests and exams
- Developing Supplemental materials
- Academic counseling

CONTRACT OVERVIEWS
Start Date: March 1, 2007
Type of Employment: Full-time
Salary: 2.0M-2.2M depending on qualification and experience
2.0M for entry-level
2.1M for at least one-year teaching experience with TESOL cert
2.2M for a lot of teaching years majored in English or education
*** After 3 months, depending on teaching performance, 200,000 -400,000 raise will be awarded.
Overtime: 20,000 won per hour
Airfare: provided by the director (Reimbursement basis)
Bonus: one month salary
Housing: Bachelor Apartment
Insurance: 50%
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Prefer applicants who will be willing to work on Saturdays)
Teaching hours: 12:20pm?7:30pm (6-7 teaching hours per day)
Class hour: 30-minute or 50-minute classes
Paid vacation dates: 2 weeks
Pension: paid
Student Type: kindergartners, elementary, middle school students
No of student per class: 10 students per class (In case of classes in the local elementary class, there will be 35-40 students in a class)
No. of Teacher: 2 teachers
No. of Foreign Teachers: 2 (English)
- 2 hours out of 6-7 teaching hours per day will take place at a local elementary school and classes will be assisted by a bilingual teacher. 100,000 won will be paid for transportation to the local elementary school.
- When the school contributes for pension, severance pay at the end of the contract will be adjusted to 1.0M because the school will have contributed approximately 1.0M by the time the contract is finished.

- A citizen/ passport holder of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom or U.S.A.
- A Bachelor degree in any majors
- Any certifications related to teaching English as a second language are preferred
- ESL teaching experience preferred, but not required
