Native English Speaking Teachers Needed for 2012-2013 School Year
Anubarn Surin School is looking for many native English speaking teachers for our 2012-2013 school year. Classes are much smaller than the average class size in Thailand, yet our school has 3,820 students. Our school is the top primary school in the province and has a lot of resources to help teachers with their lessons. We have a large team of foreign and Thai English-teachers so you won’t feel alone. Surin is a quickly growing city located along many bus routes and a train route. We are famous for our elephant festival, Thai silk, ancient Khmer ruins in the region, and our low cost of living (much lower than Bangkok!).
Job Details:
• Grades: Kindergarten to Grade 5
• Class size: 30-37 students
• Contract hours: Up to 20 teaching hours per week (24 periods)
• Subjects: Many different subjects including English, math and science.
• Programs: EP and EIS
• School hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm M-F
• 2012-2013 School year: May to March with a semester break in October
Pay and Benefits:
• Salary: 30,000 THB per month + 3,000 THB per month for housing.
• Benefits: Work permit and VISA is arranged and PAID for by the school, school will assist in finding a house or an apartment, business days/sick days/public holidays are paid for by the school, and reduced price for health insurance.
Qualifications:
• Required: Native English speaker (English is your first language), Bachelor degree, TEFL/TESOL or previous experience teaching English as a second language, experience with young learners.
• Preferred: 1 year contract, degree in education, experience teaching in primary school.
