Reports to: Principal and Academic Director

Salary: 15,000-20,000RMB/mo AFTER TAX; Commensurate with experience

Start Date: August 18th, 2016; 8:30- 5:00 M-F

About Joystar

Joystar International Kindergarten is a new, progressive kindergarten of Beijing with an aim to develop bright, curious, and happy young minds. In, an expansive metropolitan city, such as Beijing, providing a strong blend of Western and Chinese culture is key to developing the future generation of this global city. Our low student to teacher ratios ensure we are providing effective instruction with appropriate care to ensure each child is growing socially, emotionally, and physically. We provide a collaborative, high-energy environment with a strong group of staff and teachers working diligently to make Joystar a place where children have colorful childhoods. The company culture and strong efforts to develop a nurturing and purposeful environment have led to enrollment numbers increasing from 38 students to 200 students over the course of a few months. At Joystar International Kindergarten in Beijing, our administration is dedicated to setting clear boundaries and expectations for both teachers and parents so that obstacles like last-minute surprises do not hinder your teaching. Goal oriented teachers are encouraged to plan and prepare together, in a truly collaborative and open environment. We are now seeking strong teachers to join our team help nurture the many new children who will be joining our school.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Teaching 15 students in nursery/kindergarten setting for one school year
• Lesson planning, covering a range of subjects and required skill development
• Cooperating and communicating lessons with Chinese teaching staff
• Delivering lessons to class
• Creating a nurturing environment where children are allowed to be curious, independent, and playful
• Developing social, emotional, physical skills in children
• Attending weekly meetings and trainings for professional development
• Collaborative
• Team-Building spirit
• Self-directed learner

Qualifications:
• 2-years teaching experience; nursery/pre-k strongly preferred
• Teaching certification
• Differentiated instruction experience
• Ability to move to China; experience living abroad in Asian country preferred; interest in developing and teaching Chinese children
• Caring and nurturing
• Valid passport
Compensation and benefits:
• Competitive after-tax salary of 15,000-20,000RMB/mo

• 3 week paid vacation in February, 3 week unpaid vacation in August
• Flight Reimbursement of up to 6000RMB
• Potential re-signing bonus of one month’s salary
