2) How does your service work? Does it cost anything?

3) Do I need experience to teach in China?

We often have entry-level positions that require little to no prior experience. You will, however, have to have a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate to qualify for most of these positions. Often new teachers first start at a training center and move into other schools as they gain experience.

4) What is the process like once I sign a contract?

Once you sign a contract you will begin the Z-visa process in your home country. This process takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Prior to entry into China your school will help to arrange either temporary accommodation while you look for an apartment, or in the case of some schools, help you move into an apartment that is provided by the school. Your school will have a person who is there to help you with basic things such as setting up a bank account, getting a SIM card, etc. Facebook, Reddit and other social media sites offer great resources for connecting with other teachers living in your city.
