Summary of Curriculum

WEP Curriculum
Starting from Phonics, WEP helps students aged from five to eight to lay a solid foundation for further language development. From there, equipped with the exclusive Ascending Spiral Learning Method, Bugoo has designed an inseparable and comprehensive curriculum, which covers topics ranging from School Life, House and Family, Hobbies and Interests, Sightseeing to Emergency, etc. in each level. In this curriculum, language points and academic knowledge are organized in an ever-deepening and continuously-expanding way.

IB Based Curriculum: Subject groups
Bugoo IB based Curriculum integrates the principles of education from multiple countries and introduces International Baccalaureate (IB) curricular ideas into China. We aim to cultivate Chinese 9-14 adolescents¡¯ individual intelligence through balanced disciplines and challenging evaluations, guiding them to link acquired knowledge with the external world.

Online (Part-Time) Teacher

Start Date: August 12th, 2016

About the Role:

● Deliver 25-minute lessons for Chinese elementary, middle, or high school students based on provided lesson plans & curricular guides
● Receive online training & teaching support through Bugoo¡¯s in-house curriculum support system
● Set your own schedule; Work from the comfort of your own home
● Teach up to 8 hours per week

Principal Accountabilities:

● Teach online courses following a proactive instructional methodology
● Implement instructional activities & ESL teaching techniques that contribute to an environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
● Regularly log onto the Bugoo Teacher Portal to access current and relevant teacher support materials and guidelines, and track current students¡¯ progress
● Receive monthly teacher assessment from Bugoo staff members & co-teachers

Requires (Functional/Technical Skills & Knowledge):

● Strong interpersonal & oral English skills, taking into account ESL community members
● Satisfactory computer technology skills
● Ability to establish effective relationships with students, co-teachers, and Bugoo staff
● Skilled in working with a range of students of different abilities and backgrounds
● A sound understanding of contemporary teaching and learning theories and practices in English as a Second Language teaching

Required / Recommended Background & Experience:

● Minimum Bachelors degree
● 1-3 years of ESL teaching experience is preferred
● TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (or above) is preferred

● Online teachers who pass the trial class will receive up to USD $25 per hour of teaching
