Position Available: Secondary School Science & English Teacher (7th - 12th Grade)

Starting salary: 22,000 RMB

Contract duration: 1 year (18th August 2017 - 17th August 2018)

The Korean International School in Beijing is a school for expatriate Korean students. Lessons with native-speaking English teachers focus mainly on oral and written classes. Class sizes vary from 10 to 22 students.

You will teach mostly general science classes in English as well as some English language/literature classes.

English classes are divided according to English ability. Teachers submit weekly lesson plans and write mid-term and final examinations.

Working Conditions

1. Base salary is 15,000 RMB (pre-tax) with bonuses for qualifications (post-graduate degree, teaching qualification). In addition to the base salary, teachers receive a housing allowance of 7,000 RMB (8,000RMB for households of three people or more) per month.

4. Teachers teach 20 x 45-minute classes per week. Extra classes may be required, paid at 210 RMB per hour (pre-tax). There is also the opportunity for teaching after-school classes.

5. Contract completion bonus of one month's salary.

6. Z visa is provided.

7. Daily lunch is provided.

8. One-way airfare to China is reimbursed for out of country hires after the completion of first semester (up to 5,000 RMB).

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in a science
2. 2+ years teaching experience in schools
3. CELTA/TESOL/TEFL Certificate and/or a teaching certificate/license
4. Native English speaker
5. Microsoft Office proficiency
6. Must be able to work as part of a dedicated team and enjoy working with teenagers.
