Yangzhou Global IELTS (under the Global Education umbrella run by educational powerhouse Pearson Group) is seeking fun, dynamic ESL teachers for our 3 schools in Yangzhou - an Ancient city in the heart of Jiangsu province, on the banks of the Yangtze River and within easy reach of Shanghai and Nanjing.

Working as part of the Foreign Teacher department you will provide hour-long classes to students - usually between the ages of 14-25. Active and enthusiastic teachers will also be selected to teach younger kids in a number of curriculum based classes. Normal week includes 25 hours of teaching and 15 office/lesson prep hours. Classes can range from clothing vocab to breaking down song lyrics to discussing and tasting wine to making and baking cakes! Our school encourages creativity from our teachers to ensure your working experience can be as enjoyable as the students' learning experience.

With a focus on conversational English, your main role will be to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere where students will feel comfortable practising their English. No language skills (other than native English!) or formal teaching qualifications are required for this role, but either would be a positive.

Position Requirements

Skills / Industry Qualifications Required:

A University Degree (BA/BSc) is a must.

2 years of work experience (better in education)

OR

CELTA/TEFL/TESOL Certificate

Additional Information / Benefits

Salary: (Based on 12 month contracts)

10,000 RMB a month base salary (during 2 month probation period)

13,000 RMB a month salary (after probation period)

including: 11,000 RMB a month base salary

1,000 RMB housing allowance per month

up to 1,000 RMB bonus for all the classes you teach per month (100 classes per month, 10 RMB bonus per class you teach)!
