Primary School Teacher Needed
Anuban Phetchaburi School is a primary level government school with approximately 1,500 students, located in the city centre of Phetchaburi City. Phetchaburi City is located 130 km south of Bangkok, 15 km from the nearest beach and 40-60 km north of Cha Am and Hua Hin.
We are looking for a new teacher either from the USA, UK, AUS, CA, NZ or SA to join our English Program team of five foreign teachers, eight Thai teachers and eight Thai teaching assistants. The start of work is 1 May 2012.
Our new teacher will teach fundamental English language to our grade 1-3 students (in all 9 hours) and reading & writing to our grade 4-6 students (in all 3 hours). Moreover, our new teacher will teach computer theory & practicum to our grade 1-6 students (in all 6 hours).
All classrooms have air conditioning, a 29” television, a DVD-player and a video presenter. Class sizes are between 15 and 30 students.
Applicants should have at least a Bachelor Degree in any field and a TEFL/TESOL-certificate. The payment is between 28,000 and 33,000 THB per month based on a 12-month renewable contract.
The salary depends on the qualifications and experience. All Public Holidays and a two-week holiday in October are paid. So are sick days and personal business days. Health and accident insurance is provided. The maximum workload could be 22 contact hours per week. The school hours are from 7:45 until 4:00, Monday to Friday. The teachers have to comply with the school’s dress code. Applicants must preferably be in Thailand for an interview.
