Qualified ESL Teachers Needed in Sinchon- Seoul
Mapo Avalon English is looking for qualified ESL teachers interested in teaching middle school and elementary. Positions available for the beginning and end of June. Current residence in Seoul is preferred for in-person interviews. We are not a recruitment agency, you can contact staff at our campus directly. Please e-mail your information to jrequena86@gmail.com

Amount of classes vary per semester but 22-26 is average
Classes are 45min for middle school and elementary
Wednesday elementary classes are four 70min classes (one 70 break will be included)
A fun staff and an ideal location are added perks, references from other foreigner teachers available on request

Job Description
- Monday through Friday teaching schedule
- Official Working Hours: 2:30-9:15pm (Champ elementary campus) or 3:15-10:15pm (IVY middle campus)
- One year contract
- Monthly Salary: 2.1 Million KRW ~ 2.4 Million KRW (depending on experience and qualifications.)
- Starting date: June 1st and June 28
- Locations: South Korea, campuses located nationwide
- Benefits: Furnished single housing, 10 days paid vacation, 50% medical insurance, 50% of national pension, air ticket reimbursement, completion bonus equal to one month salary.
Visa Requirements: Preparing your Documents will take anywhere from 8-12 weeks so please start early.
a) Native English speaker
b) To have a passport from one of the following countries:
- USA
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
- South Africa
- The UK
- Ireland
c) To have a 4-year Bachelor¡¯s degree (or equivalent) from those countries.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO TEACH IN KOREA
E-2 Visa Documents:
- 1 photocopy of Diploma with apostille
- 1 photocopy of Passport (first page photocopy)
- 1 National Criminal Background Check with apostille
[The process of obtaining a national criminal background check takes around 3 months, therefore, we advise our applicants to start the process as soon as possible]
- 4 passport sized photos
- Self Health Statement
- Signed Contract
- Resume
Office of Education Documents: (Bring these documents with you to Korea)
- Original Diploma
- 1 photocopy of Diploma with apostille
- 1 National Criminal Background Check with Apostille (Apply for two when applying for the VISA criminal background check)
