We are an English training school modeled after the American education system. All courses are taught by Foreign Teachers, with Chinese Teachers filling the roll of translators and teaching assistants

Job Description:

Teaching hours per week: 18-25

Office hours: 10-15

Work days: Wednesday to Sunday

Class size: 10-16 students

Age of students: 3-11

Teaching material: McGraw Hill books and teaching software

Lesson plans: Lesson plans are written, but are not mandatory

Class resources: Resources such as powerpoints, songs, videos have already been prepared

Salary: 8,000-16,000

Housing: Apartment provided by school

Visa: Z-visa Residence Permit

Travel expenses: 6,000 per year

Vacation days: Chinese holidays (10 or so days per year), plus 5 paid vacation days and 2 sick days

Contract length: 1.5 years minimum (more information about this will be provided during the interview)

Training provided: Complete training course provided for new teachers. For experienced teachers, training will be given on an as-needed basis

Requirements:

Nationality: American (or can speak American English with no accent)

Teaching Experience: For lower salary, little to no experience is okay. For high salary, minimum 2 years of teaching in China, preferably children

Degree: Bachelor's degree

Certificate: TEFL/TESOL/CELTA

City:

Shijiazhuang is the capital of Hebei Province. The cost of living is low, and the city is not massively sprawling. Because there is no true Shijiazhuang dialect, it is an excellent place to go if you are interested in learning Mandarin. There is a small but thriving expat community, as well as a fair collection of western food restaurants. Located barely more than an hour outside of Beijing by high-speed train, its central location makes it a convenient home base for travel throughout China.
