School Introduction:
Chaoyin is an educational group located in Qingdao, China, with four campuses currently hosting 3,700 students and 275 teachers. Residing within the beautiful seaside city of Qingdao, Chaoyin has four campuses which include a bilingual primary school, two middle schools, and a boarding school which covers both primary and middle year education. There is also an international school currently under construction, which will be open to student registration in a year¡¯s time. Our school has continuously been ranked as the No.1 School in terms of academic achievements in the city of Qingdao for successive years. As an IB candidate school, Chaoyin is currently offering IB courses at our international classes in the bilingual primary school. Upon completion of the new international school, we will also be providing MYP courses at the new campus.
In addition to the schools, Chaoyin also has our own International Exchange Center designated to provide our students with the best international learning experience possible. We have held numerous domestic and international summer and winter camps; we are the exclusive partner with UBC Teacher Education in China; we are the first partner with Harvard Graduate School of Education to hold the China Education Symposium; in addition, we are also the first IB candidate school in Qingdao to offer PYP and MYP curriculum.

Job Description:
With our new international school opening up soon, we are currently looking for experienced PYP/MYP teachers for various subjects. Roles and responsibilities of the PYP/MYP teachers include the following:
-Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons according to the IB curriculum
-Ensure course material and syllabus are up to date
-Monitor, assess, and recording students¡¯ learning progress
-Communicate with parents and ensure they are aware of their child¡¯s progress
-Supervise classroom activities
-Participate in parent meetings, department meeting, professional development activities

Job Requirements:
-Bachelor of Education degree required
-IB teaching certificate or past IB teaching experiences is an asset
-Dedicated educator, loves children and willing to learn more about Chinese culture
-Willing and able to design and teach English course content for children ranging from 6 to 16 years old
-Be able to design course material and plan course content independently and collaboratively (with teacher program coordinators)
-Able to adhere to the schools professional regulations
-Is able to develop/teach lessons and units of course content for PYP or MYP courses
-Able to design instruction that incorporates both Canadian and Chinese curriculum
-Able to incorporate lessons/activities focused on developing students¡¯ social and emotional capacities
-Be able to evaluate students against learning standards
-Incorporates active and creative teaching/learning in their classroom (applicants with a background in music, printing or dancing skills is an asset)
-TESOL certification is an asset

Benefits:
-Salary: 2,500USD or above; 4,400USD or above if over 3 years of IB experience
-Housing: either provided by the school or 220USD stipend
-Food: breakfast and lunch provided at school on weekdays
-Contract: full-time, 2 years
