Recruiting Experienced, Enthusiastic, Dedicated Teachers in Bangkok


British Council Bangkok is recruiting experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated teachers to join our teaching team on a part time hourly-paid basis in one of our Bangkok teaching centres.

We provide a range of development opportunities to enable our teachers to obtain recognised qualifications and develop their teaching skills.

We are keen to appoint staff who can demonstrate good professional skills, are willing and able to learn and develop, and are good members of a team. We are particularly looking for teachers with Young Learner experience.

There are 5 British Council teaching centres in Bangkok. The main centre in Siam Square, Bangkok is the largest with around 3000 students per term and is the hub for the Thailand operation with 5 Managers, over 30 Instructors and the teams leading on marketing, customer services and facilities support. The branches, situated in Bangkok metropolitan suburbs are smaller, typically with 500-1500 students, 10 Instructors and 2 or 3 management There are strong links between all 5 centres enabling knowledge sharing and a range of opportunities for professional and personal development

To be considered you should:

• Be based in Bangkok, Thailand

• Be TEFL-I qualified (i.e. Cambridge CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL) and/or TEFL-Q qualified (i.e. Cambridge DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL/PGCE in relevant subject)

• Have an university/undergraduate degree

• Be a highly proficient speaker of English

The rates are 946 THB per contact hour for TEFL-I qualified teachers and 1,054THB for TEFL-Q qualified teachers.
