Hyde Education and The Learning Center Recruitment Package

Hyde Education and The Learning Center are currently recruiting for a variety of positions in our Beijing centers. We have operated in Beijing for more than ten years, and we pride ourselves on providing a collaborative atmosphere for both newly minted teachers and experienced educators.

After the initial interview, we may request additional information in advance of the second interview.

After the second interview, a decision will be made within 72 hours and notice will be sent. We then ask that successful applicants return their decision to us within 7 days so that the visa processing work can begin.

Requirements

• Native English speaker

• Passport issued by the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand• Passionate about teaching

• Creative, caring, and full of energy

• Minimum of 2+ years teaching experience

• Minimum of B.A./B.Sc. degree in the subject in which you are teaching e.g. mathematics, English, physics, etc. (M.A./M.Sc. and/or Teaching Certification preferred)

• TEFL and/or CELTA certificate preferred, especially for English/ESOL instructors

• Aged 25 to 55 (due to China work visa restrictions)

• Letters of reference from at least two employers and/or immediate supervisors

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering workshops to children aged 6 -18 or adult students in groups of 4 to 15 students

• Planning and delivering 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 tutoring sessions

• Using a range of methods and program materials to teach students with varying learning styles efficiently and successfully

• Evaluating student progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement to both students and program coordinators

• Assigning and evaluating out of class exercises

• Providing feedback on lessons and materials used to assist in continually improving the TLC brand

• Meeting with a coordinator weekly to review ongoing student progress

Employment Package for Standard One-Year Contracts (with option to renew)

• Market competitive net salary of 13,125 - 16,500 RMB (2100 – 2650 USD) dependent on days of the week and position within TLC

• Housing allowance of 3,000 RMB per month

• Paid annual leave (20 days in the first contract year and 25 in the second) plus Chinese New Year Holiday

• Sponsored Z work visa

• Flight allowance (up to 8,000 RMB) with proof of purchase per contract year (provided with final salary)

• Arrival support, including up to two weeks of accommodation while apartment searching

• Assistance in locating suitable housing
