Recruiting Teachers for the February to September Term
Zhongjie Education International is recruiting teachers for the February to September term in the city of Jiangyan, Jiangsu province. We are not an agency. Locations are either directly owned or partner schools that use Universal English Intensive courses provided by the Australian International Education Program Management Center (AIEP). The program consists of six levels, designed for middle and high school Chinese students.
We are looking for teachers to start anytime from February to September, 2012. We can provide teacher references to prospective teachers.
Zhongjie Education International currently operates different locations throughout China. Our vision is to set the highest quality English training standards for Chinese students. We are looking for responsible, dedicated, energetic, and creative people who feel they can contribute to raising educational standards in ESL learning.
We provide for all teachers:
1. A solid curriculum that is specifically written for Chinese learners.
2. A structured training program with easy to adopt teaching manuals.
3. Support in lesson planning and implementing classes.
4. Supportive managers with backgrounds in education.

Start date: February, 2012; September, 2012 or ASAP
Work Schedule: Contracted teacher must be at school 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, and will have 20 hours of class time per week. Every teacher will teach 32 lessons per semester, totaling 64 lessons per academic year. Each week, teachers will conduct two 45-minute lessons for each class for a total of 20 classroom hours per week. Textbooks and supplementary materials will be provided for all courses.
Working Hours: Start and end hours differ depending on the school, and must be observed by the contracted teacher.
Work location: Jiangyan city, Jiangsu province
Class size: In China, for this grade level, the average student-teacher ratio is 50:1.
Qualifications
- Native English Speakers
- Age: 22 – 40 in good health
- Bachelor’s degree or above from a university in TESOL, English, Applied Linguistics, or a related field. Or, Bachelor's degree in any field plus a 100 and more hours TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certificate.
- At least one year of teaching experience, preferably at the secondary school level
Teacher Candidates should also demonstrate:
- An open mind and willingness to accept and attend weekly training and planning sessions.
- A passionate, energetic and enthusiastic love of teaching in their words and attitude.
- A willingness to work diligently as a contributing team player.
- A willingness to learn new teaching strategies.
- An ability to view the acquisition of new skills as a challenge rather than a problem.
- An understanding of the importance of having a sincere commitment to the task of educating young learners
- An acceptance of other cultures and an ability to see the value of sharing cultural diversity with young children
- A willingness to accept Company Policy regarding the Learning Centre’s operations and regulations.
Contract conditions:
1. Teaching conditions vary depending on locations but the general terms below apply:
Medical insurance: Yes.
Paid holidays: Yes.
Visa: Yes.
End of contract bonus / airfare allowance: Yes
Salary**: 5,000-10,000 RMB
(** Salary varies depending on teaching experience, hours of work per week, and qualifications)
2. Assistance with or paid accommodation (accommodation conditions vary across China and we give each teacher the option to choose the kind of accommodation arrangements they prefer)
3. Free internet access and Chinese classes provided to all our teachers by teaching assistants.
