About International Campus
International Campus, Zhejiang University is located in Haining City, Zhejiang Province. The Campus spans key programs across multidisciplinary fields, including science, engineering, humanities, social science, business, medicine, and agriculture. It integrates the functions of teaching, research and technology transfer, and caters to the needs of students and faculty from home and abroad.
Currently, International Campus has established two joint institutes with University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the USA and University of Edinburgh in the UK. The two joint institutes-- ZJU-UIUC Institute and ZJU-UoE Institute were approved by the Ministry of Education, and will have its first enrollment in 2016. The Campus will become a high-caliber campus matchable with world-class universities, a strategic base for providing internationalized education, and a powerful engine to drive academic exchange and collaborative research.
About Language Center
Since English will be the language used in teaching and learning on the International Campus, the Language Center is dedicated to providing a supportive language learning environment and enhancing students' English proficiency, especially communicative competence in academic settings. Through a variety of classes and activities, the Language Center also aims at developing students with creativity, intercultural awareness, critical thinking abilities, and life-long learning abilities.

Job Description
The position of Director of Language Center is offered by International Campus, Zhejiang University, with a term of 3 years (Year 2016-2019), to talents from both domestic and abroad. The director will be responsible for the overall management of the Center to ensure teaching excellence. Workplace will be in Haining, Zhejiang Province. Haining is at the heart of Yangtze River Delta economic zone.

Responsibilities
- serve as one of the principal administrators
-facilitate communication between the Center and the International Campus
-be in charge of routine operation and management of the Center
-make development plans of the Center
-formulate regulations of the Center
- be in charge of teacher and staff employment and evaluation
- train teachers and monitor their teaching performance
- make budget and financial account reports for review and approval of the International Campus
- ensure that all departments have timely and effectively logistics support
- teach English classes, 8 lecture hours/week
- fulfill other tasks assigned by the International Campus

Qualification
- Open to all nationalities
- Ph.D. in English Education, TESOL, Education Management, or related fields
- A minimum of 10 years of English teaching experience and 5 years senior management experience
- Required to be eminent in the field of English Education or ESL/EFL
- Priority consideration will be given to one who has similar position in a similar institution for some time, especially to one who has served as Director of language centers at world top universities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, creative, can work under pressure
- Physically and psychologically healthy

Salary & Benefits
- Annual salary: more than 500,000 RMB (tax included) depending on qualifications and experience.
