YES Youngdo
Reputable & Reliable School Looking for Dedicated Teachers
Reputable & Reliable School Looking For Dedicated Teachers. Teach a Wide Range of Subjects Including Science & Social Studies with American School Textbooks.
FULL-TIME ONE YEAR CONTRACT POSITIONS:
April
- Jangan, Suwon
* This position begins on First week of April
In 1987, YES Youngdo was founded on the principle that the most effective way for Korean students to learn the English language was through a more natural and communicative approach. Our philosophy was, and still is, that learning English the old-fashioned way, by rote, is ineffective in instilling students with the necessary skills to be productive members of a global society. Since then, we have become pioneers in promoting a system whereby our students learn in an integrative and all-immersive English environment.
Currently, there are 17 campuses in Seoul and Busan. All of our branches operate under a non-franchised system. This enables us not only to uphold the quality of our schools, but also to ensure its integrity. This has allowed YES Youngdo to become one of the most respected and successful academic corporations in Korea today.
YES Youngdo puts a great deal of emphasis on curriculum. The R&D center constantly strives to improve the curriculum, allowing for the growth and development of both teachers and students. However, our teachers are the foundation of our school and the messengers of knowledge to the children of Korea. We encourage them to be dynamic educators by making our curriculum come alive through their teaching skills and individual flair. We constantly seek their input as they are the true implementers of our curriculum. Their feedback is greatly valued and is used to advance our teaching philosophy.
Students range from 3rd grade elementary to high school. All learning aspects are covered through a communicative approach using American school textbooks as a foundation. Phonics, reading comprehension, conversation, grammar, and writing are covered through different resources such as storybooks, leveled grammar, and language arts books. As the students reach the higher levels, English, Science, Geography, and History are used to give them more of a nuanced learning experience. Recently, math has been introduced into our curriculum as well, thereby providing our students with a more diverse learning experience.
As well as being a dynamic and ever-expanding English school, YES Youngdo Education Corporation takes part in a multitude of other educational activities. These activities include online lessons, the publication of books, quizzes, tests, and audio recordings of Youngdo¡¯s reading material. All of these provide an excellent opportunity for teachers to augment their salaries and gain further experience beyond the classroom.
