Maple Bear offers Canadian developed programs which are modeled upon current Canadian early childhood/elementary best practice. The program is designed to educate the whole child, physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. Zhengzhou is a provincial capital city with a population of 8 million. It is located in central China and is a transportation hub. It features a mix of old and new (roadside markets to state of the art malls), parks, Western and Asian restaurants, cinemas, bars etc. It has four distinct seasons. Best of all, the cost of living is very low. You can travel throughout Asia and have money left over to send home.

Salary : 12,000 - 13,000, based on experience/qualifications

Qualifications

* Native English speaker

* Bachelor’s degree (minimum)

* Teaching certificate

* 1+ years teaching experience and preferably in elementary education

Responsibilities

* Planning and delivering lessons to students in classes ranging from

* Evaluating students ' progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement

* Participating in social activities with students organized by our school to encourage oral English proficiency.

Compensation

* Housing: Partially furnished apartment close to school

* Free meal-lunch during the working days

* Bonus: 2 weeks extra pay upon completion of the year contract;

* Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation every year during Chinese Spring Festival (2 week summer unpaid vacation)
